Broadcasting Portfolio
Audio Demo Reel
Here is my most up-to-date audio reel. It showcases by podcasting as well as my in-game radio commentary. Due to coronavirus, I had no access to a true studio as I started my own pod last fall. Since then have worked on buffing out more noise-controlled recording spot. Throughout my time at IU, my radio broadcasts and the podcasts I've worked on are amongst the work I'm most proud of.
Broadcast Demo Reel
Here is my most up-to-date broadcast reel. It showcases a couple different reporter shots as well as a news package from this Fall and the standup from that. Due to coronavirus, I had no access to a studio or rental equipment from media school, because of that I got good experience learning some new gear and shooting high-quality iPhone shots too. I also got involved with IU Student TV and Big Ten Network's Student U during my final few semesters to bolster my broadcast and production skills.
This is the second episode recorded after the Big Ten's opening weekend and IU's opening upset of Penn State in Memorial Stadium.
"Three Yards and a Cloud of Dust" Big Ten Football Podcast
This fall, with the uncertainty of sports and the virus, I elected to stay away from campus and remain at home. Because of that choice my biggest concern was staying engaged with IU athletics, the sports media program, and the Big Ten football slate. With the help of some peers and the sports media director here at IU I was able to launch this solo podcast this fall. Writing, record, analyzing and producing on a weekly basis was a great experience and frankly helped keep me from going crazy during the isolation and distancing of COVID-19

"Extended Play" Podcast
In Fall of 2019 I was apart of an advanced podcasting course. As part of the course we were required to develop a podcast idea and make the first three episodes. Sam Boland, Will Trubshaw, Casey Weissman and myself took the opportunity to dive deeper on one of our shared loves, classic rock. Coming from the perspective of four 20-somethings, our goal was to take our listeners on a deeper dive into the soundtracks and albums that built our modern love of "dad rock." It was a fun but also very valuable project that truly familiarized me with recording and editing. I loved how we rose to the challenge of creating an enticing group dynamic in order to bring our audience into an enjoyable conversation.
